This book is based much more on the truth than it may seem to the reader. At the centre of the story are the mavericks Mirek, a freelance therapist and healer, and Rudy, who once worked at the Institute for the Study of Paranormal Phenomena. The two are united by the fact that they are endowed with psychic talents, which they each utilise in their own way. However, their talent also allows them to keep a ‘safe distance’ from each other.
A real thriller unfolds: what does the black cloak mean that both men dream of? Can deeds committed in the past be undone retrospectively? How do you deal with your own feelings of guilt and with incidents for which you believe you are partly to blame? Where are the boundaries between reality and the subconscious?
“Markéta Pilátová’s Diviner is a novel-firecracker that can be read on many levels. So many that it makes your head spin almost as much as the protagonists’ journeys through time and space.”

“Yes, this is where you need courage to face it all. Only heads with an open mind will give themselves over to this reading adventure and enjoy it. I gave in and have no regrets. It was great!”
